Emily's Story

B.F.A Music - York University
B. Ed. - York University

Noted for her dynamic range and warm vocal colour, Emily has had the privilege of entertaining audiences across the GTA for over 10 years. She first discovered her love of music while listening to her Mom's album of the musical "West Side Story" on her Fisher Price record player. Her heart was instantly captivated by the emotion and storytelling that came with the music. From that moment on, Emily was consumed with finding music that gave her “that feeling". She explored everything from musical theatre to Motown, country and classical, and eventually began to take voice lessons. With a lot of hard work and support from her family, Emily went on to  study music at York University, and graduated in 2005 with both a Bachelor of Fine Arts – Music, in Vocal Performance, and a Bachelor of Education. Currently, Emily works as a Vocalist within the GTA, a Music Educator with the Halton District School Board and a Vocal Coach in Halton.
